My biggest fallback

Whenever there is a problem the best ways to solve it is to first identify the problem.  Identifying problems can sometimes be difficult, especially when the problem lies within yourself.

Well....let's be honest it's not always hard to identify the problems within ourselves...it's just hard to admit to ourselves.

Lately I have been thinking "man....sometimes I wish I didn't have so many ideas!" I feel like with all the ideas that I have I can barely get anything done because I simply just do not know where to start.

.........and then it dawned on me.......my biggest fallback is that I overthink everything!

Many times I have so many ideas and projects that I want to do and I feel like it takes me forever to do them, or they just don't happen at all.  Even when I have the best intentions of getting things done sometimes it just doesn't happen.  This always happens when I overthink things.

I have the tendency to want to figure out everything before I start a project. It's almost like I want to have everything perfect before I put it out there for all the world to see.  I guess it's just my perfectionist side coming out.

One thing that I'm slowly finding out is that sometimes it's okay to take chances.  It's okay if I don't have everything figured out.  Being a creative is all about creating.....and sometimes what you create turns out great and other times you just find out what doesn't work, but you have to be willing to take the chance.

Starting now, I am determined to try and fix my problem.  I'm determined to go for my ideas, learn along the way and try not to let my perfectionist side get in the way of what I want to do.
