Why you need to start living simply | Simplicity + Significance
Minimalism has taken over big time in the past year or two. While I usually tend to go against the grain, this is something I can totally get behind!
But for the sake of not sounding too trendy, I prefer to use term simplicity or simple living over minimalism.
Not that there is anything wrong with minimalism; essentially, they mean the same thing, but I think more people can connect more with simple living.
When people think of minimalism, they think of Marie Kondo; "I need to get rid of all the things that do not spark joy." Again, I can totally get behind this, but simple living is just that... simplifying Everything, not only our homes.
This world is already so complicated, and with stress & anxiety on the rise daily, I think it's time to get back to the basics.
It's time to stop glorifying busy, chasing likes, keeping up with the Joneses, draining in debt to impress others with what we have, chasing the next big thing, dwelling over what others might think and overthinking every area of our life.
Why Simple Living?
Because when you simplify all areas of life, you cut things that do not actually matter out and are able to notice and focus on the things that do.
Think of it as common-sense living, and common-sense would tell us, "stop doing what is not working and stressing you out."
So, if you feel like you are caught up on this never-ending cycle of "just getting by," and you want to start loving your life more, join me in this movement of Simple Living.
Because when you start living with simplicity, you begin seeing the significance that is your amazing life.
